Importing goods into Turkey involves several steps and requirements.
- Registration: You need to register with the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade.
- Import License: Obtain an Import License from the same ministry.
- Documentation: Prepare necessary documents such as the Certificate of Origin, Harmonized System Code (HS Code), product Invoice and packing list.
- Customs Duties and Taxes: Duties and taxes can vary depending on the type, value, and origin of the goods.
- Customs Clearance: Ensure all goods are cleared by Turkish Customs.
Imports
- The importer must have a valid importer registration from Chamber of Commerce
- The imported goods must conform to activities licensed to the importing company
- Imported goods must be accompanied with an International Air Waybill / Bill of Lading, an Original Commercial Invoice, a Certificate of Origin, and a Packing List
- HS Codes must be stated clearly on Commercial Invoice.

Import Duties and Fees
- The customs valuation is based on CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight)

- For certain goods, a export license is required.
