Importing goods into Turkey involves several steps and requirements.

  • Registration: You need to register with the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade.
  • Import License: Obtain an Import License from the same ministry.
  • Documentation: Prepare necessary documents such as the Certificate of Origin, Harmonized System Code (HS Code), product Invoice and packing list.
  • Customs Duties and Taxes: Duties and taxes can vary depending on the type, value, and origin of the goods.
  • Customs Clearance: Ensure all goods are cleared by Turkish Customs.

Imports

  • The importer must have a valid importer registration from Chamber of Commerce
  • The imported goods must conform to activities licensed to the importing company
  • Imported goods must be accompanied with an International Air Waybill / Bill of Lading,  an Original Commercial Invoice, a Certificate of Origin, and a Packing List
  • HS Codes must be stated clearly on Commercial Invoice.

Import Duties and Fees
